Let our team come and support yours

Our people are happy to get out there and support local causes, volunteering for activities that range from skills-sharing to work with the elderly and vulnerable.

Through our latest policy, all LCY staff volunteer in the local community for a minimum of 8 hours a year, increasing to two days in 2024.

2025 update

In 2025, 196 members of LCY staff donated a total of 797 volunteering hours across various activities. We took part through our established London City Helpers programme, as well as July’s Volunteering Fortnight and 12 Days of Giving in December. Our team supported local food banks, homeless shelters, community support networks, homes for the elderly, employment and education programmes. These programmes supported 2717 beneficiaries of which 1167 were students.

LCY contributed £120k through donations, sponsorships and events supporting the local community. In addition LCY Community Fund has awarded £85k to 30 local charities and not-for profit organisations in 2025. Since launching in 2019 the Community Fund has now awarded over £560,000 to more than 200 charities and not-for-profit organisations.
